Sunday, July 5, 2009 – Justice of God in Genesis

Alan Knox | July 8th, 2009

Last Sunday, Geth taught us from several passages in Genesis. Geth asked us to consider the two-part justice of God as revealed through the Fall, the flood, the tower of Babel, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. While these episodes demonstrate the violent punishment of God, they also point to the fact that God’s justice always results in restoration and mercy.

The ultimate demonstration of God’s justice is found in the incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
